Free Advice To Help Increase Self-Esteem And Self-Confidence

Do you lack confidence? Are you looking for advice and tips that could enable you to increase your self-esteem? If you have answered one or both of these questions with a “yes” then this article may well be worth a read.

Up until the age of about twenty-one I always seemed to have a lack of self-belief. I have to say that in reality I did not like myself. I was quite envious of what my friends and family had. They seemingly had it so easy where as for me life was a constant struggle. What I needed was to some how gain confidence.

I had a stutter you see which did make life unbearable at times. At the age of 22 I did manage to eradicate the stutter and it sure was worth the wait. I had however already spent the previous eighteen years struggling to cope with a stuttering or what is also known as stammering problem that virtually destroyed my entire confidence; it also meant that life was quite tough working where I did as a pet insurance claims clerk.

What I did learn and what was eventually a catalyst to enabling me to eradicate the speech impediment was that I needed to start appreciating what I had in life. I had to stop feeling sorry for myself and I needed to work hard at improving the areas of my life that I was not happy with – such as my speech.

I also needed to become a more care-free person – less stress etc. I had to completely change the way I approached life; out went the negative and in came the positive.

These were some massive changes that I was attempting to make to the way that I lived my life and I will not try and tell you that it was easy. Ultimately however all of the effort did pay off and I was able to achieve fluency and a real confidence.

I hope that you will also be able to gain in confidence; I will be happy to help in any way that I can.

As a successful businessmen I am now involved in various projects including one which offers link building services. This is a great deal fun and I continue to do this for some time to come.

Gain Personal Growth in Communication

We’ve all found it rather difficult to develop personal growth in communicating our feelings or thoughts to someone else. Forming all the emotions and thoughts that are jumbled in our heads to a sentence or two can be challenging. However, we need to interact with one another, because it’s what makes this large world go ’round. Instead of becoming frustrated, and assuming that the world just doesn’t understand us, we should try to understand others. You can gain personal growth in communication with others, and here are but a few ways to help you achieve this:

Relax

Don’t become so wrapped up in how something should be or what would make it better. When you communicate with someone, and you have developed preconceived notions on how they should be, you turn them off. Try not to be so firm in your beliefs until you completely hear what the other has to say. Take your time to understand someone, that is the trick. If you don’t have time for someone else, why, praytell, should they have time for you?

Probe

Begin by asking questions when you communicate with someone. After all, people don’t naturally walk up to others and explain everything they feel, want, like, and have been through. When you ask someone who you’re communicating with questions, they feel as though you actually care, and they will start asking you questions. Probing questions are what makes conversations. For example, if a person says they like to eat cheesecake, a good question would be, “What kind?” Simple as it is, it is rather effective, and keeps the conversing on a consistent and non-invasive level.

Listen

A question that is often asked of people is, if they should wait to speak, or actually listen. Forming statements or questions in our heads, and focusing solely on them until the person we’re talking to takes a breath in speech is rude, and reckless. When you abandon a person by waiting to talk we show them that we weren’t very interested to begin with, and rather selfish in this right.

Speak… Honestly

Lies are often uttered to total strangers. These are only white lies, but they are lies, nonetheless. When you meet anyone, or talk to existing friends or family, try to speak with honesty. The more honesty you show, the more personal development you can gain in building integrity. When you speak honestly, you don’t speak or do something opposite to what you feel. Try to apply this concept to every encounter that you may have.

Be the Host

Let’s say, for instance, you go to a party. It’s a small gathering, maybe no more than forty people, and you have to mingle. You can communicate very well by thinking of yourself as the host of the party. Now, don’t lie and say things such as, “I paid a lot of money for this event. Do you like it?” Try to stay in your own roll or flesh as partygoer, but be as inviting, friendly, and comfortable as a host should be. People will begin to flock to you, coming to you for your command of entertainment and conversation.

Balance Yourself

You can most definitely gain personal growth in communication once you simply treat people the same way that you would like to be treated. A warning to you: the more sociable and friendly you become, the more responsibility you hold. You must compare your actions with your words. Your feelings must be expressed in a non-attacking manner. Build those relationships, and further develop personal growth in communication skills.

Learn How To Turn Your Negatives Into Positives

I was always somebody who had many confidence issues as I grew up, from a child, through to adulthood. I firmly believed that I had been dealt a very bad hand of cards and I often became rather down in the dumps. The issues that I had in my life were:

A bald patch the size of a ten pence piece on my head

A problem with my speech known as a stuttering

A weight problem, I was quite fat for my height

I am quite short for a male at five-foot-four

Certain people would take the mickey out of me, and their comments would hurt. I would always make sure they did not see my anger but inside I was crying.

I could not live life this indefinitely and aged 22 I decided to fight back. My quest for a better life began with me reading a lot of literature to do with how to gain confidence and how to increase self-esteem. I was eager to become a success as I wanted to run by own business selling external doors. I had spent far too long offering advice with regards to flyer printing and needed a change.

These were the things I had to take on board:

It is not important what other people think of you, it is what you think that counts

You need to start to like yourself

There are various things about your person, you do not like but which you can not change. It is basically a matter of knowing that there are many other people from all over the world who would love to swap into your shoes; you may think that you are rather unlucky but the truth of the matter is that you are in fact one of the lucky ones.

You need to have respect for yourself

Do not accept second best in life

Be happy

Learn to relax

Treat yourself to some pleasures. This could be some form of massage, aromatherapy or reflexology.

I had managed to achieve a personal happiness by following the advice in the above paragraphs.

A Way to Handle the Affiliate Marketer’s Learning Curve

Any online business thrives on information.  Of course, that information must be accurate and relevant for it to be of any use to the enterprise.  Only under those conditions does that information become part of the knowledge base that is crucial to the viability of the business.

This key concept is as true in the affiliate marketing industry as in any.  Particularly important to affiliate marketers are accurate and up to date guidance on niche selection, keyword research, traffic source and copywriting.  For a beginning affiliate marketer the learning curve is extremely steep, but even the most successful affiliate businesses must continually learn in order to keep up with the fast changing world of electronic communication.

Although it is possible to find a number of online sites that give supposedly expert advice, offer all kinds of supposed secrets and sell so called essential tools, it is had to know which is hype and which is genuine.  Countless affiliate marketing businesses have turned to Anik Singal’s Affiliate Classroom to teach them what they need to know in order to succeed.  Unfortunately that highly respected source became somewhat dated.  However, the good news is that Singal and his staff have spent the past two years totally revamping their system and turning it into something very similar to an online university for affiliate marketers.  This totally new version is going to be open for members (probably for a relatively short period of time) in mid August, but they are accepting people onto their information and contact list at this time.I urge you to get on that list quickly for Singal’s updates.  If you do not make it in time, be sure to see if there is still room on the waiting list.

Singal was recognized as one of the four “Young Entrepreneurs” in 2008 by Business Week Magazine in honor of his tremendous success with his affiliate marketing business and his renowned ability to teach others about this tricky, but rewarding, business.  That is a truly remarkable honor.

Affiliate Classroom 2 gives you the whole picture–all of the context–of affiliate marketing.  Defining, refining or even expanding your niche is covered in all the necessary detail for a beginner or for an experienced marketer.  If your keyword research skills aren’t as sharp as they should be in order to maximize your search engine optimization or to use pay per click advertising in the most cost effective way possible, you will find the expert help you need from Singal and his team.  Do you want to learn more about new ways of finding inexpensive or free traffic? Affiliate Classroom 2 will come to your rescue.

You can do yourself and your business and enormous favor at absolutely no risk by just signing up to get the information about this program directly from Singal.

Singal also does a favor for all affiliate marketers by not allowing anyone to use their own affiliate link to purchase the program for themselves.
